Kim's Garden, S. Burlington, VT. Created a front yard cottage garden overflowing with flowers for a reproduction "Cape" in a 1950s subdivision. On-going since 2001.

J.L. Boxford, MA.

Margo's Garden, Cambridge, MA. Transformed a small urban lot to a blazing flower garden bisected by a grass path, framed by woodland groundcovers, and backed by upright accent plants, ferns, and shrubs. Installed underground irrigation on timers. Photos available. 1998.

S. R., Plainfield, NH. Designed a compact cottage dooryard garden for a small Cape including mixed beds of flowers, vegetables, herbs, and fruit, enclosed by an ornate woven wire fence and linked to the street and outer landscape by a row of crabapple trees. 1998

P. C., Loudon, NH. Designed a Victorian flower garden for an 1850s farmhouse, including pre-1880 perennials, annuals, and roses. Also developed a plan to cover an eroding bank directly behind house with woodland plants, groundcovers, shrubs and vines. 1998.

J. R., Exeter, NH. Planned extensive formal gardens framed and enclosed by hedges and set off by broad panels of lawn for owners of 1750s National Register house who are avid gardeners. 1997

T.,Francestown, NH.  Identified assets and problems, and developed a program that could extend over several years for the owners of the Colonial revival house, once a summer camp. 1995.

V. K., Brookline, MA. Replace foundation plants banking the 1910 Dutch-style brick house with large squares of clipped box filled with lavender and tulips and backed by roses. The rest of the sloping lot was to be terraced to increase outdoor living and gardening space. 1995.

S. M., Chediston, Halesworth, Suffolk, UK. Designed narrow borders of medieval flowers and herbs inside box hedges for a 15th century thatched farmhouse. 1992.

J. R., Selby, Yorkshire, UK. Redesigned the grounds of a 17th century almshouse to accommodate the subdivision of its kitchen garden, a shared area for both houses, and a separate garden for the new house. 1991.

Pigtail Farm, Berwick, ME. Recreated the layout and ambiance of an 18th century farmstead with vegetable and flower gardens, orchard and livestock pens, for the grounds surrounding a furniture show house in an old farmhouse. 1989.

D. G., Weston, MA. Rediscovered, renewed, and redesigned the landscape of a 1910 colonial revival house, including woodland walks, flower garden, and rock garden. 1987-89.

Whipple House, Ashland, NH. Consulted on the grounds of a small house museum that had overgrown and deteriorating plantings, and rediscovered a buried brick walk. 1987.

M. F., Andover, NH. Advised owners of a 1814 Federal style house on treatment of aged trees and their replacement, and designed flower gardens and borders. Photos available. 1985.

P. C., Andover, NH. Designed a fenced yard with perennial borders inside and an orchard of dwarf fruit trees outside for a mid-nineteenth century Greek revival house to block the road noise while preserving a view of Kearsarge Mountain. 1984.
