My name for this golden ray of sunshine that I found some thirty years ago in an abandoned garden. No doubt it is a P. vugaris hybrid but it has the look of P. elatior with its long, strong stems and soft but bright yellow flowers. In moist, shady conditions, it is very hardy and flowers heavily early in the spring.
