New and Antique Named Green and Grey Edges, Fancy, Alpine, Double, and Border Auriculas.

Last spring we received the first shipment of stock plants from a leading auricula nursery in Wiltshire, England. In the future we will be offering antique and new, named varieties of the most choice show auriculas, including green, grey, and white edged, as well as many of the show selfs in purples, blues, reds, and yellows, and singles and doubles in brown, green, and black. These will be sold in pots from the nursery as qualities permit beginning with just a few in the spring of 2004. Reservations will be taken. Contact me for an availability list.

The painting on the right is from the Codex Honselaerdicensis, illustrations of the collection of plants taken by William III from the Netherlands to Hampton Court in 1692. This painting shows peonies, tulips, anenomes, and an auricula. The original is in the Biblioteca Nazionale in Florence, Italy.
